On Friday before the first advent \u2013 punctually on the sixth chime of the great church clock the Christ Child appears in its golden garment. Accompanied by angels and small men wearing top hats, the Christ Child sparks with a touching speech the magic of Christmas and transforms the romantic village into a fairy-tale like a place full of bright lights and glamour.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Im historischen Rathaus aus Jahr 1660 wurden die Fenster von einheimischen Betrieben zum gr\u00f6\u00dften Adventskalender mit wertvollen Geschenken gestaltet. Gewinnen Sie eines der tollen Geschenke und machen Sie mit bei unserem Weihnachtsr\u00e4tsel ab November im Allg\u00e4uer Anzeigeblatt. Die Gewinner\/innen werden von unserer 1. B\u00fcrgermeistern Frau Dr. Sabine R\u00f6del in Begleitung von kleinen Engeln, am Donnerstag, den 28. November um 17:00 Uhr gezogen.<\/p>\n

How to become a Christ Child<\/h3>

How do you actually become a Christ Child?
\nTo be a Christ Child is something very special and is held in high regard, as the Christ Child opens and attends the events at the Christmas market. By its famous prologue in front of the town hall, the Christ Child inaugurates the Christmas village by turning it from a place lying in darkness into a place full of bright lights and fairy-tale glamour.<\/p>\n

Die Rolle des Christkindes wird f\u00fcr die Jahre 2024\/2025 neu besetzt.<\/strong>
\nTherefore the applicants must have lived for a longer time in the Allg\u00e4u region, be aged between 16 and 19 years and be at least 1.60 tall. Besides these requisites, the Christ Child should be cordial, open and fond of children.<\/p>\n

Its duties comprise:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Daily tours around the event Christmas market<\/li>\n
  • The receipt of wish lists at the heavenly post office<\/li>\n
  • The draw of the winners of the Advent riddle<\/li>\n
  • The award of the market huts and Christmas trees<\/li>\n
  • The storytelling of christmassy stories<\/li>\n
  • To posture for photos with children and visitors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    As symbolic figure it drives every Friday and Sunday with its heavenly carriage in the Christmas and fairy tale procession through the Christmas village. Every year a special child is granted the wish, to ride as angel together with the Chistmas Child in the carriage. At the end of the Christmas market the Christ Child bits farewell to the Christmas market by a speech of thanks.<\/p>\n
